I have recently bought one of these excellent units here on ebay, and would like to share my experience with others in the hope that this can benefit others when faced with the dilemma of whom to buy from. These compressors are available from a number of sellers, some new, some reconditioned and at widely ranging prices from low to high. Being faced with a tight budget I bought "brand new" from a seller with "less than perfect" feedback ratings (for the first and last time) , but at the cheapest price...a gamble that subsequently did not pay off. I received the compressor within a couple of days, but despite claims by this trader to pack their items 'via the latest technology' both the outer box AND the unit inside was damaged (both air filters smashed - oil everywhere) with no internal packing whatsoever and lots of parcel tape over an outer box which had been clearly patched up for despatch. Although this had (to be fair) probably been heavily dropped on it's side by the courier in transit, the lack of packaging was obviously the major reason for the resultant damage.  The seller was politely informed of the problem, and though apologetic failed to replace the damaged parts over the course of  the next 3 weeks despite a further polite reminder that my problem remained unresolved. Time-up!...I'd had an unuseable compressor for over three weeks and the seller was (at best) "stalling" by answering mails but failing to act.

End result;..I repaired the unit myself and the seller recieved yet another well earned negative feedback toward a rapidly expanding  poor reputation.

Conclusion,...simple but true!...

1: You get what you pay for,...(I wish I'd forked out another 30 quid and bought from a seller with good feedback)

2: Negative feedbacks DO stand for something (not ALL unsatisfied buyers are unreasonable folks) ..so don't be tempted into giving the vendor the benefit of the doubt...like me!!!

GREAT COMPRESSOR but beware who you buy from!!!
