Selling a car or bike? This could save your licence!!!

You may be the most experienced seller of cars, bikes buses or whatever, but in future when you write a bill of sale, put an exact time and a date on the document and make sure you both sign it!

Why? Because from the moment you sell that vehicle until midnight that same day it is still theoretically yours as the V5C makes no such allowance for time of sale and guess who might get you a speeding ticket, or two or even three and at worst a lost licence within an hour or so of you selling the car, and will the buyer care? or be honest and own up? I think not! It's your name on that document until it reaches the DVLA, and the date of sale is all that appears, not the time! This could save you an awful lot of money, time and hassle just by adding the time....
