Before selling your item on Ebay, check the' completed listings page 'of the item you are going to sell to see what the prices the auctions end on.

 This is particularly useful if you want to get a cross section idea on prices.

Click into the 'advanced Search' at the top right hand corner of your screen. Type in the title of the item you are going to sell, click on completed listings only and then press the search button at the end of the boxes on the left hand side. This will give you all the auctions under that heading that have ended. If the item has sold it will be in green, and if not, in red.

You can also click into the' view all ' box and all current auctions showing the item will appear. It will also tell you average postage costs for the item.
