Guide to kayak equipment sizes

This is a general guide and if in doubt refer to the manufacturers size charts.

Inside leg is measured from crotch to ankle bone. Arm is measured from nape of neck to wrist.

Sizes called things like SM, or LXL are designed to fit all the sizes within the range to which they refer. For example, ML should fit anyone conforming to the M or L sizes shown above.

How to choose the correct size of spraydeck / skirt.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Measure all the way round under cockpit rim using a tape measure or piece of string.

Compare the circumference measurement to the chart below:

SMALL DECK    180-200cm

KEYHOLE           200-215cm

BIG DECK           215-230cm

XTRA BIG          230-270cm

GIANT                270-290cm

If you’re working from the boat manufacturer’s catalogue, typically:

SMALL DECK   65-75cm

KEYHOLE         75-85cm

BIG DECK         85-95cm

There are a very few exceptions to this rule. If in doubt, contact us.

Waist sizes correspond to:

S/M        up to 34”

L/XL       34” and up
