Beware when buying adidas Copa Mundial football boots on eBay because there are a lot of fakes on there.

Here's how to tell if you are looking at a genuine pair or Copa's.

Always ask to see a photo of the actual boots.  A lot of sellers use an image from the web, rather than a photo.

1)  The Box

Genuine : They should come in an adidas Originals blue box with the three white stripes and a 015110 product code label on the end

Fake : Often come with an unlabelled plain black or brown box

2)  The Size

Genuine : They should have the UK size embossed on the sole at the heal end and the US size should be half a size bigger than the UK size i.e. UK 9, US 9½

Fake : The size will not be on the sole and they ofter show as UK 9 US 10 for example

3)  The Colour

Genuine : The sole should be white and the tongue should be white

Fake : Fakes tend to have a cream coloured sole and sometimes even have black tongues

4)  Manufacture

Genuine : They should be Made In Germany with Kangaroo leather and be of the highest quality finish

Fake : They will be made in a factory in China with cheap materials and will fall apart after a few matches
