What a nightmare!  Your child's expensive item has been stained by suncream.

Don't worry - it can be removed as long as your item can be treated - check first on an inconspicuous place.

This works best on new stains.

If your item has been washed and tumble dried this is less likely to work but is worth a try as we have had around a 50% success rate on removing last years sun cream stains with this method.

You need a Stain Devil  number 3

Apply as per the instructions on the bottle and leave for 10 minutes

Then rinse off

Make up a paste using Vanish Oxi-action stain remover (don't use the spray) and apply liberally to the stain

Put the item immediately into the washing machine and wash on a 40 degree long wash using biological powder (non-bio doesn't work)

Then hang out to dry on the line

In theory a stain devil 5 should remove suncream but we have found this more effective
