Be very aware when buying a used sat-nav, these are great units but they are top on the thieves shopping list. Never ever leave the units on display which is obvious, but in the same way never leave the suction holder mount in the windscreen, this just means to the thief that the TomTom is in the glove box. Also do try to remove the tell tale suction marks on the screen this is another dead giveaway that somewhere in your car a very nice sat nav is just waiting to be pinched. Stolen ones to watch out for on Ebay are easy to spot. They always have no box or instructions as these are never in the car are they? The real owner has them in his house along with a big bill for new glass replacement for the passenger door window that was smashed to get to the glovebox. Another dead giveaway is stolen ones are sold normally with the unit itself, the holder, and the car charger only. Where is the house charger? Its still with its rightful owner, because they are never in the car either. Another downside in getting your sat-nav stolen is that it will tell the thief your home address, not only that but it will take him directly to your home, another reason to be more careful in the first place. Dont forget all Sat navs have factory unit numbers which can be traced. All real owners have the original bills and most real owners still have the box and home charger. If you suspect its stolen ask the police to check the unit numbers out, perhaps, just perhaps the tow rag thief will get whats coming to him. Also in a strange twist of fate those voting that this review has not been helpfull, are probally the very people who steal sat navs in the first place. I rest my case.
