Amusing trailies with useful abilities on/off road and competitive pricing. Thumper vibes intrude when thrashed, plastic cracks and old ones can suffer from weak electrics. Air/oil-cooled motor reliable to 30/40k when the top end becomes a bit finicky. Chassis rot inevitable if used off-road a lot. DR750 Desert Express surfaced briefly in 89, then became DR Big 800, which lasted two years until 1991. New DR650SE in 1996. Very robust engine for a single. DR750/800 has a cult following, with quite a few high-mileage examples.
