This book came out as a 'grassroots' book by women for women. It is spiral bound and practically teaches women basic car maintenance and repair. It is geared towards cars from the 1970s decade but it is basic enough to be applicable to later cars as well. It has b/w photos, line drawings and humour in cartoons and text. The text is done in typwriter style giving it that 70s feel

It is a very practical book with everything you want to know about keeping your car running and it is done in a practical hands-on style.

This book came out of the heady days of womens lib in the 1970s and deserves a place in womens history.
