When posting golly badges or any badges with a pin  / butterfly back.Do not put them in a normal envelope with a 1st class stamp on. I know it saves you money but when it arrives at the post office it then goes through their rollers and crushes the pin on the back. I have received about 10 such broken badges now and its just down to making a few extra pence. Pay the little bit extra or better still recycle the padded envelopes or cut the big ones in half and you the get 2 padded envelopes for the price of one. ask businesses if they have any that are used, I am sure they would let you have them if you say that they are going to be recycled.
