June Hampson is a brilliant new author. Her first book published last year Trust Nobody is addictive reading, very similiar to Martina Cole's style of writing. The book is set in the 1960s and we follow the lives of a Cafe Owner Daisy who has an affair with her brother in law while her husband is locked up in prison. We also follow a young sixteen-year-old called Suze who works at the cafe, and Daisy's close friend Vera who lodgers on the premises and works as a prostitute. Compulsive reading as Daisy meets up with some undesirables with dreadful consequences for her unfortunate husband whose life is cut short in a most horrific way.
