The Benefits of feeding Timothy Hay to small herbivores

There is no doubt that good hay should form the bulk of any small herbivores diet. Timothy Hay is low in protein and calcium and high in fibre and is excellent for preventing obesity. The greener it is the more chlorophyll, minerals and trace elemetns it contains. The chewing of Timothy Hay helps to prevents molar spurs and other teething problems common to small herbivores.Hay also makes a good burrowing medium.
