After owning a PDA with tomtom 3 for the last two year, it was  getting a little out of date so decided to update to a modern GPS unit.

A week checking out what was on the market, I bought the tomtom 720t

Now a month on, I must say what a great bit of kit it's never failed, start up is around 5 seconds, it has street level detail for UK and all Western Europe, free trafic through the reciever (which can be a little slow) and only seems to work on major roads.

a function I do like is you can load your MPS's onto the SD card and set the unit to play it throught your car radio

my only gripe is: I had a problem installing a map, and tomtom cust support took 8 days to email me back, by which time I'd found the answer on the internet.
