While most people on ebay are honest, there are a few people who are trying to con you out of your hard-earned money. As the old phrase goes, if something seems too good to be true then it probably is. If someone is selling a Brand New top of the range PC for only £50, there's got to be a catch there somewhere. The catch you'll probably find is that the person is selling an eb00k/ebook telling you where you can buy things. They are NOT selling the actual item.

Before bidding on anything that looks too good to be true, check out ALL the sellers feedback as well as the whole auction or even check the ebay community boards as people on there will be able to help you gauge whether it is a con or not. Often they will hide close to the bottom in small text something about an ebook/eb00k. They are not allowed to sell ebooks so they will often use 0's instead of O's in their auction text. These auctions are often only running for mere hours but during this time, the sellers manage to con people out of £thousands.

I hope that you have found this guide helpful and remember look out for items advertised as things like 'Insolvency/Customs/Police Auctions.'
