Purchasing items on eBay is all about trust, who to trust and not to trust. Heres a few things to look out for.

Most sellers and buyers on eBay are genuine, but a small minority or not, some bid without ever having any intentions to pay, some sell items that are not listed correctly or they do not even have.

If you are looking to buy an item, look how long the seller has been a member, look at what the seller has sold and what feedback has been left for the seller. A seller might have excellent feedback, but might of achieved this in a short period of time, purchasing small cheap items, before selling large expensive items themselves, to con or mislead potential buyers.

Check out my Feedback, see how long i have been a member and that i have traded constantly for a long peroid of time, plus have lots of happy customers, this is a good example of a genuine eBay trader, but everyone does have to start at the bottom.

Read the listing carefully and fully understand what you are purchasing, i recently purchased a computer game, the listing didn't say anything about NTSC , the game was NTSC and i couldn't get it to work, plus it never said PAL either, i naturally assumed it was PAL, not a bad seller as such but definatly a misleading item. Check the postage and if you are buying more than one item, ask the seller if the discount on postage.
