As conspiracy theories go this is a 2/5. Which may sound disappointing but it does have its good points too.
I am a fan of learning about all things ancient egypt and so when I saw this book on holiday the other week - I straight away bought it.
It is about how the tomb got discovered - it tells the original account of events (which we all know about so I wont bother explaining all that) but then the author goes onto explain what he thinks happened and how he thinks the tomb was discovered years before the official opening because Carter recieved help from the el rassul who revealed underground passages to it from other tombs. Many of these theories do make sense and fit in very well.
The down side is that towards the end he just gets carried away and his story is nothing short of way too far fetched what with the jewish exodus, murders and goodness knows what else. In fact its almost laughable. Basically this good "up to the final few chapters" conspiracy theory becomes a comedy!
I dont think he will be taken seriously by any serious reader.
