I thought I would write this guide out of the frustration I have when searching for new vehicles! This particularly applies to higher mileage ones.
Of course, all sellers wish to represent their vehicle in the best light to obtain that crucial sale, but to omit very important detail, of any kind, from your ad in my experience can result in the following :
1. Potential buyers have to spend time contacting you to ask the mileage / condition / road worthyness etc. and you having to reply to them.
2. The eventual buyer see's the mileage and condition, and walks away.
All buyers wish to be happy with their purchase, and will bid more for an honestly described vehicle - they will find out the facts sooner or later, and a vehicle is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If the truth is concealed, will they really go through with the transaction? assuming they have not had the sense to ask for more information first. How many times have you seen 'relisted due to a time waster'? How many of these could be avoided by better descriptions and details?
Personally, I do not bid or even watch items where vital information is not freely offered, such as age, mileage, location, realistic condition etc - what are they hiding from me, the buyer?
Congratulations and thanks to all those that complete the description box fully - you will get my money first!
