Siemens Gigaset and Panasonic DECT cordless phones are the nicest around - this quick guide covers the very latest models.

In a nutshell:

Panasonic

KXTG8321 / 2 / 3 / 4 Is the latest mid top range, its not as well built as the previous 8220 / 2 / 3 (numbers relate to number of handsets in a pack) but is a fair bit cheaper. If you using a phone for home office use I suggest the 8220 as it will last longer and if price is an issue then the white 8220 is often on promotion. Both have essential headset ports and advanced caller id with incoming call filtering.

KXTG7321 replaces the 7221  and before that the 7120 and is much the same in that its a good value all rounder with speaker phone on each handset and call transfer / phonebook copy.

KXTG7341 replaces the 240 and has a phone / speakerphone on the base - note this is much cheaper than the 240 it replaces as it has a lower spec.

Small business ? The Siemens S685IP / S450ip can make three calls simultaneously - one BT line and two on sip / VoIP obviously you need 3 handsets to do this !! Great way to expand your business at low cost

The Gigaset S685ip

S685ip is a VoIP / landline phone with answering machine, bluetooth and a full specification - the most up to date VoIP cordless on the market

Gigaset C475ip

Similar spec to the S685ip but without bluetooth and vcard feature - however its a lot less £
