When you want to buy a gold or a silver jewel, most of the purchasers they only see the design or the Stones that it has above the jewel without to check the weight of the jewel..The most important factor for the price of a jewel, is basically the weight of jewel and the work that will need  to becomes the jewel...some sellers sell very light rings or pendants 1 or 2gr with big stones, with result the weight shows bigger..in the expensive metals the measurement and the cost of metal are with in grams..
If the ring or pendant have a natural stone or stones, attention the natural stones like CZ is not cheap, naturally cannot the purchaser know the quality of metal or Stone, a jewel of good quality in silver even after a long time with little cleaning remains the same as the beginning..
