As a collector of swords for many years I feel I should warn you before you part with your cash. There are a great many fake Japanese WWII swords being sold on Ebay but how do you spot a fake ? 1. does the seller live in China? 2. is the sword being sold cheap with a very high postage? 3. can you see every part of the sword in the pictures, if you can't see the tip, it's probably a fake. 4. before bidding check the other items the seller is selling, as they may well be selling not just one sword but 20 or even more 5. take a look at the picture above of this classic Japanese WWII fake there are 100s of these about the blades are acid etched, this process was not done to genuine swords of WWII. please click on the yes button if this has helped you.
