Ever go to a Major Auto Show? notice how shiny the cars are? Thats because they don't use wax. Keeping your vehicle looking good is an art form. Some people seem to have a nack at it, their vehicles seem to always look pampered. while other vechicles look like they've been in a fight.

Professional detailers are great but they are costly and they take a sizeable chunk out of your day. PTFE treatments have their problems also. The condition of the paint beneath it is the main concern. PTFE's are a one shot make it or break it system that will not benefit all vehicles. When it begins to fail there is no going back. A long hanedeled medium soft bristle brush is best for cleaning custom designed wheels.

DO NOT  USE TIRE BLACK/WET LOOK ON YOUR WHEELS, IT WILL ONLY MAKE YOUR WHEELS PICK UP DIRT AND MAKE YOUR RIMS LOOK AWFUL. SOONER.

Tire black is popular because it gives the tires a  wet look. Today there is not a tire black formula that will not pick up dirt like a magnet and unless you clean the overspray off the wheels, they too will pick up dirt like a magnet.

The Science behind VaporWax

Oxidation effects everything from flesh to iron. It is the thing that gives us life and makes us grow old. 
It effects all things in different ways. The common denominator is how it effects us, at the cell and molecular level. Oxygen produces the occurrence of free radicals. These could be described as break away cells or free electrons. They change form and assist in the break down of surrounding cells. They can accumulate and cause cataracts in eyes rust in iron and oxidation on acrylic. Sunlight a source of vitamin D helps accelerate the process of oxidation.
Oxidation is not pure, It can hold the elements of many substances such as salt and salt water. As it builds it can hold oil and road grime and other pollutants. On Vehicle headlights and other acrylic / plastic surfaces oxidation can be yellow or brown. For this reason oxidation can appear in various colors. It most commonly appears as a thin white film on automotive paint, this film can become opaque if allowed to continue to build.
