Being a seasoned parent of three children ages 6, 4, and 18 months. I have realized the importance of high quality, durable toys, which is why I am choosing to specialize in wooden toys this Christmas. Wooden toys can stand the test of time and be passed on from one child to another without the normal wear and tear associated with plastic, which is why it is better to spend the money on high quality wooden toys, instead of their cheaper plastic counterparts. When a wooden toy company, such as Voila Toys, also takes care to source their wood in an environmentally sustainable manner, wood toys are also a better choice for the environment.
The warm glow of wood also makes them more appealing to young and old alike. It reminds parents and grandparents of the toys they played with as children, and there is just something inviting about a wooden castle or doll house that a child will never forget. With money being tighter for most families this year, I would suggest spending on durable wooden toys that will last longer and be more cherished by children.
Merry Christmas,
Elisabeth Webber
