I have just purchaced a new desktop pc from Palicomp and while the system is fine are a couple of points that other buyers should note.
They send you an email with the order number of your purchace and a kisting of upgrades available. This is very handy however the urge is to phone them as the number is on the top of the email. If you do phone Dont place the order by phone just confirm the upgrades you require and confirm the cost. Then email them with the list of upgrades you wish. This is to give you a record of the extra items. Also request a fully itemised invoice be sent with the shipment
I made the mistake of only phoning and when the shipment arrived Minus a keyboard and mouse it took me almost a week to find out if I had paid for these items and then have them shipped to me. I requested an invoice when I placed the order but it didnt come and when I emailed them to request the invoice I just recieved a total cost ex-Vat. the total Vat charged and the Grand total. Hardly the itemised invoice I requested
NOW THE BIGGY.
DONT PAY BY CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD. Palicomp charge 4% of the total for this service. It is stated on their Term and conditions web page but this charge is not stated on the item listing or on the email you will be sent.
Also if you need to contact the service department Use email as the phone line is charged at 75ppm and as they are the only people to talk to if you have any form of query it can be expensive.
