a word of warning to anyone who wishes to purchase a digital scanner for listening into police activity,in some areas of uk the police are still on normal frequencys..but most are converting to TETRA which is the new digital frequency so chances are your old scanner is fit for listening local taxis,air traffic.and the odd shipping channels..do not be fooled by when a scanner says it is digital what that means is the display is digital...digital channels are encrypted so that you cannot unscramble them..if you purchase one from the states and it says can recieve TETRA once in this country you will need to find  a way of unscrambling the frequency....finally DO NOT BUY ANY DIGITAL SCANNER ....BECAUSE THEY ARE  NOT...keep your money do feed the con men
