I recently tried to buy a BMW Z4 on eBay motors for £8000 surely to good to be true!!??.

After agreeing to by the car I only ever received messages from the seller and eBay motors through my personal email account! I found this quite unusual so I forwarded the emails to eBay safety centre. They clarified that the emails containing payment details for the car were infact spoof emails not sent by eBay.

All messages from eBay should be received in your "My Messages" within your "My eBay". Luckily I did not fall for this scam and I hope that you won't either!! Never except emails in your personal email from eBay, no matter how genuine they appear!!

If you suspect emails to be fake or spoofs then forward them to spoof@ebay.co.uk!!

I hope this helps anyone who is unsure!!
