When using a buy it now price. Dont make the gap between the start bid and the buy it now price to far away from each other,As it can  make the buyer bid just under the buy it now price and you have paid fees on the buy it now for no gain.

Unless its a bargain !

example.

0.99p starting bid for a 1980 Bagpiper.

BUY IT NOW price £39.99

No one will want to bid that or will just bid 99p to stop others buying it now.

£29.99 start price.

BUY IT NOW price £39.99

This tempts people into buying it now and it saves you money as anyone bidding on either price eliminates a 99p sale if there are no other bdders.
