Star Wars Lego .....                             

• In 1999 the Star Wars Galaxy and Lego joined forces and produced a range of products that were instantly sought after, highly popular and extremely collectable ..... the combination of STAR WARS and LEGO was a stroke of genius ..... enter a search on ebay to see just how popular Star Wars Lego actually is !!!
  
• There are many different ways of buying and collecting Star Wars Lego ..... some people go for the boxed sets (complete & sealed sets to build up yourself) and others buy their sets loose or purchase instructions to build their own. The most popular form of collecting, however, is to collect the Minifigs ..... the tiny Lego Star Wars characters that so many people seem to want these days !!!!!

OFFICIAL STAR WARS MINIFIGS

Many Minifigs can actually be picked up in inexpensive Lego sets ..... for just £15 you can buy the official Star Wars Utapau set that includes the General Grievous Minifig and his Speeder/Bike Vehicle and the Obi Wan Kenobi Minifig and the Boga Creature he rides. The reason I mention this is because popular characters that are sold loose (like General Grievous) often sell for much more than £15 ..... fans and collectors really want the figure but forget that a trip to the toy shop could save time and money !!!

CUSTOM MINIFIGS

Custom Minifigs are Minifigs that are not available in any official Lego set  ..... they have been adapted or sometimes even originally designed by fans and enthusiasts to enhance a collection by adding something rare or unique !!!!!

Custom Minifigs come in two categories .....

1. VARIANTS >>> Existing Star Wars Minifigs that have been slightly changed or modified to make them more unusual. A good example of this is a standard Princess Leia Minifig with a PINK Lightsaber !!!
2. UNIQUE CREATIONS >>> "NEW" & "ORIGINAL" Star Wars Minifigs that have been designed and created ....a variety of  characters from the extended Star Wars Galaxy have recently appeared, good examples being Sith Lords (Darth Nihilus, Darth Sion, Darth Revan etc)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            >>> Custom Darth Nihilus <<<  
   

The reason Custom Minifigs are so collectable and often generate much interest from bidders is simple ..... every collector likes to own something rare or unique ..... a talking point maybe ..... or simply a way of making their own collection different to anyone elses !!! But be cautious >>> many modifications can be done yourself ..... it's Lego, so why not experiment with some of your own Minifigs to create your own custom characters ?

New and unique Star Wars Minifigs, however, are much more difficult to create yourself  ..... take time to search and look around at what different sellers are offering ..... there are some fantastic Minifigs out there .... Sith Troopers, Mandalorians and Jedi Knights/Sith Lords of the Old Republic. Many of them look highly professional and will look great in your collection. However, AVOID sellers who do not not include a photograph ..... I know several very disappointed buyers who have bidded on and won Custom minifigs and have received poorly painted and rushed characters that do not live up to expectations !!!

BUYING TIPS

Whether  you are building a Clone Army, creating a collection of Sith Lords that is unique or simply collecting a set of your favourite Star Wars heroes and villains in Lego form, it is always wise to have a good look round at what is on offer ! There are some fantastic sellers on ebay who offer a range of Star Wars Lego products at a variety of different prices ..... BUY IT NOW offers combined with multi purchases can save alot of money but avoid bidding large amounts of money on Minifgs you can get yourself much cheaper from official Lego sets !!!

AND FINALLY .....

..... if you are a collector of Custom Minifigs make sure you know exactly what you are getting ..... buy from sellers who provide accurate descriptions, clear photographs and who have lots of positive feedback ..... buyers don't lie .....
