I see a lot of these for sale so just wish to clarify this for some people. Since 1989 in the UK retrofitting HID bulbs to a cars original light that was equipped with a halogen bulbs is illegal. This one sentence from the governments own documentation probably sums it up nicely. "In the Department's view it is not legal to sell or use after market HID lighting kits, for converting conventional Halogen headlamps to HID Xenon." According to the Police the maximum fine on your first offence of having such light fitted to a road vehicle is £2500.
