Choosing an iPod can be a difficult decision. This guide is designed to make this decision easier for you. An iPod is a music storage device which allows you to listen to music without the hassle of batteries and CD's etc.

There are 3 iPod's on the market now and 2 more which have been taken out of production.

iPod Mini (not in production but possible to buy second hand)

This iPod comes in 2 different storage sizes, the 4GB and the 6GB. This iPod is suitable for small music collections IE 30 - 60 albums dependent on size. Features a black and white screen with backlight display.

iPod 30GB/60GB (not in production but possible to buy second hand)

Despite the bigger storage space on this iPod, both the 30GB and the 60GB both look exactly the same. This is suitable to vast music collections and can hold somewhere in the region of 15000 songs dependent on size. Features a black and white screen with backlight display.

iPod Shuffle

This iPod is designed for the younger generation who own less music. It comes in 2 sizes, 512MB and 1GB and can hold 200 - 400 songs dependent on size of song. The shuffle has not got a screen and is fit for someone who likes a random selection of their songs as the shuffle mixes the songs up.

iPod Nano

This iPod is the sucessor to the Mini but has a different size availability. It comes in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB and features a colour screen. It also allows you to store pictures and play games. There is also a quiz which is designed around the music selection on your iPod. It can store between 400 - 1500 songs.

iPod 30GB/60GB Video

This iPod is the sucessor to the original 30GB/60GB. The main difference is that videos can be stored and playbacked through the colour screen. It can store 7500 - 15000 songs on the hard drive. It also has all the features of the Nano.

We hope this guide can help you choose your iPod.
