Hi i brought a lay z spa in march thinking it was a good idea and it is! when it works.
i had read that other peoples had stopped working and that you had to wait for a replacement, and sure enough mine stopped working (the heater) so i phone up bestway and guess what non in stock i will have to wait 4 weeks, the sad fact is i know its going to do it again when i get my replacement which is a shame because when the work they are brill!
so my advise is dont buy one untill it is sorted out, because theres one thing worse than not having a hot tub its having one in the garden that does'nt work!
24/6/07 UPDATE:

when i got my repalcement heater Bestway told me i shouldnt keep it on for more that 8 hrs at anyone time! I said to Bestway "it takes 12hrs to heat up" they said " once it has heated up you must turn it off" Thats crazy because then it gets cold!!!
Anyway forget that you have to keep your hot tub cold so it stays working i went doen the bottom of my garden to attach my new heater blew up the spa and it had gone completely out of shape it looked like the elephant man! i phone up bestway Again! i had to take photos of it and email them to bestway . the lady at besyway told me this is quite common if left outside!

So lets sum this up!

1. you must not keep your hot tub on all night
2. you must not run your hot tub for more than 8 hrs
3 you must not keep it outside for long periods ( more than 4 weeks)
4 and you must not run it off a extension lead.

Still want one!!    i would not bother

if you have been having problems with ya lay z spa and you cant get a refund ! and you are like me and wont a spa but dont want to fork out thousands then here is anb idea!

keep your layz spa . if like me the blower still works then thats great! what you need to do is buy a bestway swimming pool heater 3kw which with postage costs £39.99 and then a bestway swimming pool filter about £25 join the 2 together and do away with the  lay-z-spa  heater unit i can keep mine on for the blower you just need to extend the pipe you can get all the bits for this of ebay or B&Q this is a good idea if your crappy bestway warrenty has run out.
at the end of the day the layzspa unit is just an immerson heater like you have in you hot water tank so build your own up with swimmingpool parts easy! if you need a blower then buy a secondhand babyliss bath spa mat they are cheap and they have a great blower on them. just convert the pipe to fit the lay-z-spa it may not look as pretty but put it all in a box and you wont even see it.

this is what i have done and it works fine !

i would just like to add one last thing about running cost. i read on here somewhere it cost £25 a quater to run . thats total crap it will £4-5 a day i have monitored it very carefully on a meter. lets not forget  it is 2000 watts ! if you leave the lid on during summer and dont ever use it then maybe it wont cost so much , but if you are in it every night like we are, it eats electrity as its always having to heat.

i hope this was helpful i like my spa and i have told the truth.
