i recently purchased a speedy 30 off ebay as authentic. after taking it into lv in birmingham they pointed out over 10 faults to me, the length of the handles were odd, brasswear not brass, a small hole next to key hole on the lock(should be no hole),yellow cotton stitching should be bees waxed, serial number stamped inside was of larger lettering than LV use, i received an authenticity card in an envelope. .LV never give these, the small care instruction book began in the language of china. . . as LV is french they should all start in french ! the bag was also listed as gently used and item location in london. The bag finally arrived 10 days later from china, it had tissue tightly secured with tape around all brass wear, LV  do not actullaly do that, there was plastic sleeves around the handles which i also had to cut off, the dust bag was of poor quality and should have been overlocked all around, the leather should have darkened now (been using the bag for around a month, day in day out),but it is still the very light colour , i paid 189.00 for this so called second hand authentic bag, LV sell it for 345.00 in there store so i thought i was getting a bargain however the bag is probably worth no more than 10.00 pounds, hope they spend my well earned money well & that they can sleep at night !!
