i have just recently got my self a 2000 model r6 with 10000 miles on the clock and on the test ride all was well so i bought it when i took it out and got it warm the gears would not go in properly so i thought the box was goosed but all is not lost my local bike garage told me that there is a small spring in the box can can snap and it is a easy job to do and he only charged me £40.00 and now its like brand new happy days so if your gear box is playin up chances are its a small spring that has snapped. also if your r6 is over heating first of all change the rad cap as that solved my problem to
